Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) refers to a broad range of conditions marked by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communications. Sensory processing disorder can also impact those with autism but can also be a standalone diagnosis or co-occur with other diagnoses. Unfortunately children are no strangers to anxiety and depression that was once thought to only impact adults. Due to the pandemic, the rate of diagnosed anxiety and depression in children has doubled in the last several years. Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is a type of behavioral disorder most commonly diagnosed in children.
