Clinical Interns
At Parent Like It Matters, we believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health services. To help make therapy more affordable, we offer reduced-cost sessions with graduate-level clinical interns who receive ongoing supervision from our licensed clinicians. This program allows us to further our mission of increasing access to compassionate, evidence-based care while helping train the next generation of therapists!
Mackenzie Brackin
Michele St.Clair

Hello! My name is Mackenzie Brackin, and I am excited to be a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Parent Like It Matters. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University and earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Before beginning my graduate studies, I spent several years working as a Registered Behavior Technician where I supported children in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behaviors through engaging, play-based interventions. This experience deepened my passion for early intervention and child-centered care.
I am dedicated to creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and heard. My goal is to help each child build resilience, strengthen coping skills, explore their emotions with confidence, and recognize the unique strengths they already possess.
