Olivia Horne
M.Ed., LCMHCA
Hi! I’m Olivia Horne, M.Ed, LCMHC. I love working with upper elementary, middle schoolers, teens and their families. I believe that every child and parent deserves a safe, supportive space to process challenges and discover new ways to connect and thrive.
With over five years of experience as a school counselor before entering private practice, I bring a deep understanding of how a child’s emotional world and school environment intersect. I enjoy helping families navigate academic pressures, social dynamics, and the challenges that can arise when supporting a child with a mental health diagnosis. Whether we’re working through anxiety, emotional regulation, school stress, or life transitions, my goal is to create a space where children and families can grow together with confidence and compassion.
I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and other evidence-based approaches to help children and families improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. My goal is to create a welcoming space where kids can feel heard and supported, and parents feel confident in helping their child thrive.

I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Family Studies from James Madison University and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from George Washington University. Before moving to Wilmington, I worked as a school counselor in a K–8 school in Virginia. I also offer a limited number of evening appointments to better support busy families.
